These are a couple of stunning pieces of Art Deco design, and would really make a statement in any interior. The main black cabinet is essentially the same for both designs, but the base is treated very differently. The cabinet on the left has an unusual legs arrangement, which was inspired by a Jean Dunand cabinet from the 30's. The sideboard or drinks cabinet on the right is a bit taller and sits on a matching wooden plinth.
The gloss black painted border frames the wonderful central panel design, on a wood background, shows silhouettes of a Jazz band. The figures were inspired by an early South American Art Deco bar, but adapt wonderfully to other uses. The interior could be fitted out as you want.
The boxy shape of the Vcabinet has typical Deco styling. The black painted carcase & door rails add drama, with the panel mouldings picked out in red for max. contrast. The maple coloured panels contrast excellently against the black to highlite the figures perfectly. We could change the panel wood if you prefer, and even the carcase colour, as made to order. The legs colour matches the panels closely.

You can change the proportions if preferred, as shown above, as this is made to order. You can play around with the design of such pieces endlessly, from proportions to plinth colour. Above left is a more usual Deco boxy look 2 door sideboard, with plinth. Above right is shown a longer version which could be used as a bar or kitchen island. As made to order we don't give out sizes until we've agreed a spec with a customer.
As this cabinet/cupboard/sideboard/bar is made bespoke we can alter the finishes many ways. Shown above the design on the door panels is on a silver leafed finish, which would look very dramatic with the main black colour. Then we can match the plinth and cornice for extra effect. The door panels could be gold leafed, or any colour or wood you want. The main cabinet could be any colour or wood finish you want. This will give you some ideas of what you can have.
Customers' photos of the cabinet in-situ, storing a large number of glasses and bottles. The inspiration for the jazz band design came from the many black Jazz musicians of the era.
Shown above LH is the 2 door sideboard with a wall mirror in similar style, just to show how you can 'dress' a wall of your home. Above RH is a small home bar, semi-circular shape, complete with chrome rails. This is one of those fun pieces that creates authentic Deco look in a room. Fitted with shelves on the reverse side. Made to order - sizes are agreed with each order / client.
We took the orginal cupboard design and produced a stunning bookcase with it. This would definately make a focal point in any interior. The cupboard doesn't need to be black either, we've shown a white version of it above.
We've also used the above design ideas to design a new big home bar.
