This dining table closely follows examples by
Morris,
Stickley and other
A's & C's designers. This example has a green painted base, the idea coming from
Morris' own table at the Cheltenham Museum. The Oak veneered top is 47" in
diameter. This was designed to be produced quite economically, but still
offer the Arts and Crafts style sucessfully.
We can also supply the top in solid wood, with either round, square,
rectangular, sextagonal or octagonal shaped tops. The base could be left in
natural wood, or finished to a colour of your choice. The size can also be
made to your requirements.
To make it as shown, but with a 27mm thick pine top,
would cost £625.00. This includes VAT tax, delivery extra. Please enquire
for quotes for other versions. Allow 8 - 10 weeks to produce.

Oak Dining Table
This is a very plain Mission style small refectory table. It's beauty comes from
the clean lines and quality oak, especially with with the lovely grain patterns of
1/4 sawn oak for the top. Also includes the Arts & Crafts practice of pegged
joints ( see detail below ).
It was made as a breakfast table, to go with a set of
Voysey
dining chairs; Voysey always preferred the simple strength of this style of
table. Ht 29" x L4' x w2' / H74 x L122 x w61cm. Supplied with a satin lacquer
finish. Made to order, so the sizes can be made to whatever you want.
