Josef Albers dining table
While Rietveld came to dominate what was seen as De Stijl furniture in later years, he was not the
only designer producing furniture. This is a table by Josef Albers c.1923. The soft egg yolk yellow on the legs is
interesting for not being the usual bright primary yellow of most De Stijl work. Compare the table colouring
& surface planes with Van Doesburg's chair below; the simularities are striking. It is most likely Van
Doesburg influenced Albers. We can make this table to whatever size or colouring you want as made to order.
