A stunningly painted & gilded range of mirror frames in an unmistakeably Gothic Revival style. They were inspired by some designs by the Victorian Gothic Decorating firm of Heaton, Butler & Bain. The frames are treated as flat patterns for decoration, and this contrast between the flat frame & ornateness of the design make for such a striking mirror. It is the crispness of design, symmetry & colours that make them so graphically striking. The larger size really gives them an impressive presence in a room, yet this is a very original way to treat Gothic Mirrors. The colours can also be adapted to your preference. All hand painted and gilded, they are quite labour intensive to create this level of detail & precision. Made to order, we don't give out sizes until we've agreed a spec. & size with a customer. The mirror frames below show various options in design you can have.
The frames can be supplied with or without a wood outer frame, as this is a matter of personal taste. Choose the wood you prefer. The fames can be supplied with 2 matching side mirrors as well as the main panel. Or these side panels can have painted designs of various sorts. You can, within reason, change the proportions of such mirror frames, as made to order. Needles to say there is a lot of precise handwork & craft in these mirrors, which makes them expensive.
