Painted Gothic Bedroom
These painted Gothic designs take their
inspiration from the Victorian Gothic Revival. Although very rich and highly
decorative, they follow one of Pugins' 'true principles', using flat pattern
on plain surfaces.
The bed is strongly influenced by Wm Burges' work, with the use of bold gothic
patterns and colours, the use of 'ridge tiles' and 'Tower' legs completes the
architectural feel. The various other pieces show how you can 'mix n match' these
Gothic pieces, or you could have them all matching for a more unified look.
It is shown in two colourways, 1) antiqued off-white headboard, with one design
on the footboard, and 2)rich red, with a different design on the footboard.
This could be painted as required. Size 3ft wide,although this would easily
make a double bedstead. The 3' wide version costs £645.00, delivery extra.
