William Burges style Painted Gothic dining or library table

This stunning painted Gothic table definately looks back to the Gothic Revival. The table base is based on Pugins' 'Structural' tables. The octagonal top uses design ideas from Pugin and Burges, for similar marquetry topped tables, but the painted and stencilled designs used are very close to Burges' style. The polychromed top is simply stunning and very practical, it can sit upto 8 people. Approx. top size 122 cm square, with a lacquered finish. Gothic steel wrought iron dining chair This is a lovely iron chair that would work very well with this table. The pared down structure matches the table base, the table colours can be picked out in the chair fabric, and the ornate chair back is very similar to the design on the table top. The chair is available as a side chair, which would be more suitable for this style of table, or a carver.
