This is a modern version of the painted Gothic style; the influence of Burges is obvious.
The dramatic shape works even better for the understated painted finish, picked out with
touches of Gold & muted stencilled patterns. This cupboard, above left, was actually used
as a wash stand, and fitted with a small undermounted basin & taps. But it could be adapted
for several uses, as above right, ie cupboard, drinks cabinet, for books, a TV or hi-fi
cabinet, etc. Sizes & proportions can also be adapted as required, as it is made to order.
