This stunning painted Gothic table definately looks back to the Gothic Revival. The table base is based on Pugins' 'Structural' tables. The octagonal top uses design ideas from Pugin and Burges, for similar marquetry topped tables, but the painted and stencilled designs used are very close to Burges' style. The sucess of the top is down to the total accuracy of the design & polychrome designs.
The polychromed top is simply stunning and very practical, it can sit 4 comfortably, 8 at a push. Approx. top size 122 cm (4ft) square, with a lacquered / varnished finish. We would probably recommend a glass top on this. to protect the painted top long term.

This just gives you an idea of what we can do with this style, as we can make them to your own requirements and sizes. We could also supply it in Oak, or whatever wood you prefer. The top could be round, square, rectangular, sextagonal or octagonal. I would probably recommend a glass top for further protection. It could even make a wonderful coffee table.

This is a lovely iron chair that would work very well with this table. The pared down structure matches the 'Structural' table base, the table colours can be picked out in the chair fabric, and the ornate chair back is very similar to the design on the table top.
