One of our designs for a Gothic style painted bathroom washstand vanity unit. For smaller bathrooms a 2 door version will suit, & for larger ones
a double vanity with 3 doors. The starting point for the upper design was to use Wm Morris & Wm Burges style Angels / ladies in the panels, using a scroll to link them visually
together, on a gold background. Within the 1 design we showed 2-3 different top door panel shapes you could use. We've shown a few colour variations
to give you some ideas. A very good colour version would be based on Wm Morris & Phillip Webb furniture, to have the washstand in a black finish, with the
gold panel designs.
The lower version square door panels could be treated in 2-3 different ways, or mixed. It was easier to present the variations on the same drawing. The lower versions
are shown with a higher plinth. This plinth could actually be shaped on the front edge as well.
The cabinet could have further Burges style decoration added to make a real wow piece. It would have been easy to add lots of Burges style designs
& ironmongery to the front of this design, but this can put some people off who like a plainer look in their bathroom. It's your choice. The interior could
be fitted however you like. Worktops cab be in a wood, painted, stone or Corian type finish. Made to order.
