William Burges was, along with AWN Pugin, the most talented architect / designer of the British Victorian Gothic Revival. Burges, inspired by C13th French gothic work, produced some of the most breathtaking interiors and furniture ever seen, anywhere, anytime. This gold mirror was designed for his Buckingham St. rooms, London, in the 1860's. The original was gilded, with red 'daisies' and linework. There is a picture of it hanging next to the Zodiac settle in Burges' rooms, shown below. We could make these frames to whatever size you required. Burges mirrors would generally be supplied with a bevel (omitted here as mirrors are awful to photograph).

We have also produced another version, in a typical Burges colour combination, yellow daisies on a red ground. Both have bevelled mirror glass, a standard Burges feature. Made to order. Above right the gold mirror can be seen next to our painted 'Tower' clock. There is no reason why you couldn't have these mirrors painted other colours, we have shown some colour variations below. Or use them landscape. Or change the proportions? We don't out sizes till agreed with a customer, as made to order.
