Terms

  1. Currency conversion available at bottom of the page.
  2. NB. The real threat of fraud on the internet is to those selling, rather than those buying. Buyers are usually protected by their credit cards or the retailers bank ( where cheques are recorded ), where as retailers are left less well protected ( at the moment ). Current advice is that deliveries be made only to the address where a credit card is registered. Failing this, we shall write for a confirmed reply at the address of those ordering. For small orders a credit card check is usually OK.
  3. Packaging and delivery will be charged at cost, and is payable on or before delivery.
  4. Cheques, made payable to The Design Service, to be sent with order.
  5. For large orders we can accept a deposit, approx.40% - 50%, with the remainder payable before or on delivery.
  6. An order confirmation form will be emailed / sent to you on receipt of your order, and will give approx. delivery date (unless it is a stock item which will go out quickly).
  7. Please confirm delivery address if different to that above.
  8. Damaged deliveries MUST be informed within 3 days of receipt (or the insurance covering them is invalidated and no claim can be made). You must retain the packaging on damaged deliveries (couriers reserve the right to inspect packaging before settlement).
  9. I accept that a condition of ordering is that I/We will not copy, (either exactly, closely or 'in the style of'), any pieces shown on our website, ordered h/w or featured in our information sent to you, under your own name or another name used by yourself, or pass it to a third party to do so. Breaking of this condition may result in legal action to defend our work. Too many people were copying our work. We even took the website offline for some time to avoid this.
  10. Please note colours can differ from the photos shown. The web is a low resolution medium, & can not render colours exactly ( in the same way that printed colours always carry the disclaimer that they may not match exactly in real life).
We do not charge for an initial consultation or rough drawings. We do not charge for follow up consultation. If you wish to proceed with an order we require 50% deposit and the balance on completion. Copies of designs can be left with customers after a deposit is given. Any changes to design after the initial agreement and signing off stage will be discussed and charged accordingly. The same for changes made whilst design is in progress. All drawings and designs remain the sole right of TDS ~ The Design Service.
