Several of our new bathroom vanity unit designs really capture the essence of ancient Egyptian style furniture in a contemporary way. These 2,3 & 4 door vanity units use classic Egyptian figure/graphic painting styles and heiroglyphs in a novel way. There is an almost Pop Art sensibility to some of these designs. The base itself is actually an interesting shape; basically it is a simple 2 - 4 door cupboard, but the decorative painting in traditional style really makes the piece. The sides are shown with 2 side panel options; a banded shape pattern or with flat heiroglyphic panels. The base is fitted with 2 polished brass sled legs, as much Egyptian furniture had basic sled feet for transporting it. There is a lot of detailed hand painting goes into producing decorative pieces like this.
Although these vanity units are shown with sit-on sinks, they can be made taller and have inset or undermounted sinks fitted. The interior is fitted with 1-2 shelves usually. For the worktop you could use limestone (the classic Egyptian stone but marks easier in a bathroom) marble, granite, quartz, glass, Corian, wood, whatever you like. The painting can be left clean and contemporary, or distressed to look more antique. As this is made bespoke we can change the proportions, within reason, change the designs and colours used. Made to order, we don't disclose sizes or prices until we've agreed a spec with a customer. We can also supply matching mirror frames or wall mirror units, bath panels, storage units, etc. to complete the themed interior.
