Egyptian style - Double Pylon bookcase
This is another showstopper bookcase design with visually strong shapes, influenced by the
splayed shape & massing of Pylon gate buildings from Egypt. This bookcase is getting into
a complete library time, and we could fit out your room using this style. It looks like a
classic piece of Egyptian furniture combining classic Egyptian architecture with typical
Egyptian painting. This piece would make a great impact in any interior. The bookcase is
shown in 2 ways, either all open shelves or with cupboard painted doors in the Pylon shapes.
But we can add doors to any part of this. We've shown several colour versions of this bookcase
display cabinet below. This piece can be used for several purposes, from display unit, drinks
cabinet, bookcase, home office use, etc. The shelves can either be solid boards or glass,
depending on how you would like to use the cabinet; glass shelves being more suited to display
of Objets D'Art or china/glasses, solid shelves for books.
Overall the piece can be left clean and contemporary, or distressed to look more antique.
We can decorate this anyway you want and in any colours you want. This piece takes a lot of
work to produce as it's a complicated shape and uses a lot of materials, coupled with hand
painting take time and skill to produce, they are not cheap to make. As this is made bespoke
we can change the proportions, within reason, change the designs and colours used. Made to
order, we don't disclose sizes or prices until we've agreed a spec with a customer.
