This smaller bookcase / display shelf unit is a more modestly painted version of the Pylon style bookcases we do, for someone who wants to capture the general styling of the Egyptian look without being too eleborate. This piece has a visually strong shape, influenced by the splayed shape & massing of Pylon buildings and gates from Egypt. We've shown it in 2 widths and several colour options, although it could just be a wood finish. The shelves can either be solid or glass, depending on how you would like to use the cabinet; glass shelves being more suited to display of Objets D'Art or china/glasses, solid shelves for books. This piece can be used for several purposes, from display unit, drinks cabinet, bookcase, home office use, etc.
The painting on the outside is a generic distressed finish, which is lightly antiqued. The back panel is in a contrasting colour to emphasise the Pylon shape. Overall the piece can be left clean and new, as shown, or distressed to look more antique. We can decorate this anyway you want and in any colours you want. We can even add a door(s) at the bottom for storage. Hand painted pieces like this take time and skill to produce, and the shapes are complicated to make, they are not cheap to do. As this is made bespoke we can change the proportions, within reason, change the designs and colours used. Made to order, we don't disclose sizes or prices until we've agreed a spec with a customer.
