These bookcase designs combine a traditional Gothic look with a cleaner more modern look. The main Gothic feature is the Tudor flattened arch, with chamfered edges adding interest to the cornice, arch, vertical rails & plinth. The back can be smooth if preferred but we feel it looks better with a tongue & groove look. These bookcases can be made in a range of woods or a wide range of painted colours. It can also add interest to have the back panel in a contrasting colour.
The bookcases are shown as a single, double or triple bay versions, but they could be more bays, or to fit a corner. Although shown as freestanding bookcases they can be built-in. They could also have bottom cupboards with doors. The bookcases are made bespoke to order, so we can adapt the dimensions to your requirement, and change the colour or finish or wood. Usually one of the middle shelves is fixed, with the rest being adjustable. Due to the scale of bookcases delivery & access can be a problem and expensive; we will often suggest they be supplied in component form for straight forward assembly in the room they will sit. We don't do quotations until we've agreed a spec with a client.
