It's hard to know how to describe this bookcase - it is unmistakably Gothic in style but quite different to most Gothic furniture you see. But it would have a very strong presence in any interior thats for sure. There are elements of Morris's Artisan range & Wm Burges in this bookcase. The base cupboard doors have lancet door panels, which can be plain or decorated further (we've shown some ideas for this below). The top flattened Tudor arch works well on this design, with the chamfered edge detail emphasising the arch. The cornice is castellated adding further visual interest. The plinth is also chamfered, echoing the Tudor arch detail. The doors are shown with simple knobs, but could look even more impressive with ornate Gothic door handles. Another interesting touch would be the use of Gothic curtains in the upper section, a detail sometimes used during the Gothic Revival - Arts & Crafts period.
It provides a very clean looking Gothic bookcase architectural shape and provides plenty of storage & display space. These bookcases can be used in a number of ways, from a bookcase to a home office piece, a drink cabinet/bar, a kitchen dresser, or remove the upper shelves and you have a media centre. We can also supply matching furniture to go with this, ie sideboards, cupboards, wardrobes, desks, etc etc. The back can be smooth or with a tongue & groove look. These bookcases can be made in a range of woods/finishes or a wide range of painted colours; we've shown some examples below. It can also add interest to have the back panel in a contrasting colour/finish. The bookcases are all shown as a single depth, but we could make the base deeper with the top section set back. Or we could do this as a breakfront bookcase for even more architectural interest.
Although shown as freestanding bookcases they can be built-in. The bookcases are made bespoke to order, so we can adapt the dimensions to your requirement. Due to the scale of the bookcase delivery & access can be a problem; so we might suggest they be supplied in 2 scetions for straight forward assembly in the room they will sit. We don't do quotations until we've agreed a spec with a client.

The designs above & below shows where bespoke design really comes into it's own. As designers we can endlessly adapt these pieces to produce new designs exactly to your requirements. So the bookcase above has an added 4 door sideboard cabinet attached to it, which the whole piece could be freestanding, as shown, or built in. The side cabinet could also have 1, 2, 3 or 4 doors, or maybe 2 x 2 door cabinets either side of the main bookcase. Or we can make it as an media entertainment center. So speak to us if you have a specific format you would like to use. As they're all made bespoke we can probably accomodate you.

Above are more examples of different ways the bookcase can used day to day, in this case as a drink cabinet / bar. Or take out the upper shelf and you have a media centre. Or it can be used as a kitchen dresser.
