This clean looking wardrobe relies on it's Skyscraper styling for interest and decoration. The stepped Skyscraper motif is the quintessential Deco shape, by blowing the size up you give the doors a sense of scale suited to Skyscraper styling. We actually made the door handles tall and with a skyscrapper profile; the raised handles have a grip edge at the sides. This allows us to get very creative with the main carcase finish and the handles finish, and the wardrobe can be quite straight forward to produce. This customer's bedroom has tall ceilings, so the robes were over 2.5M high.
On this main page for this wardrobe design you can see many other colour options for the wardrobe and dressing table.
Many client are looking for more furniture than just the wardrobes, which we can design and supply. For this job we also designed a matching dressing table and stool, which continue the Skyscraper styling of the robes, both in the base section and stepped topped line of the mirror. The dressing table is a freestanding piece of furniture. The top mirror section could also be designed with cupboards for storage, and we have shown such an arrangement on the main robes page.

The above photos show the customer's bedroom before the new Deco furniture was fitted. You can clearly see the amount of clothes hanging space they require from the moveable hanging rail they are using now.
This furniture has a real dramatic presence in the bedroom, instantly transforming it into a high Deco interior. A joy to use every day, practical and ascetic to look at.
In the examples above we went though 3 fit-outs until the client was happy. The RH robe had double hanging rails to maximise their storage, plus a top shelf - this was a high robe. Bear in mind with double hanging rails you generally allow 1M/3 feet of height for each rail, so there is enough for the clothes to hang down. In the LH robe, on the right hand side, we left a bigger space from the hanging rail as the customer had a few long dresses. Below that we added a few shelves for pairs of shoes. In the bottom LH corner we included a chest of drawers - there is usually an infill piece with chests so that they clear the hinges.
As designers we can produce complementary furniture in this Skyscraper style, from bedside cupboards to 2 - 4 door/drawers cupboards & sideboards (we've shown some of these options in the cabinets section)
