Art Deco - Doors

These lovely looking Art Deco doors add a real authentic look to any interior, and would look at home in any Deco interior. The overall door is a modern clean looking single large Shaker panel. What really lifts the whole piece are the stepped inner mouldings. And if you want to take it a step further and complete the look add matching stepped door architrave mouldings and skirting/ baseboards. This door could be made from a variety of woods or painted finishes. You can also mix n match: have a wood frame and painted panel, or vice versa. Or just pick out the moulding in another colour. One point to bear in mind with this door design is that the door may need to be thicker than usual, if you want the stepped mouldings on both sides of the door. The reason being is the panel has to be a certain thickness for a door, but then you have the mouldings added, which are stepped in thickness. Please note bespoke doors, like bespoke anything, are going to seriously more expensive than off the shelf store bought doors (which invariably are made in Chine/the Far East). We would usually supply matching joinery to go with the doors including door architrave, skirting boards/ baseboards, picture rail (shown at the bottom0f the page).
