Make a great Deco impact in any interior with this stunning bookcase. The design was based on a French corner cabinet from the late 1920's. The stepped shape is typical of the 'Skyscraper' Deco style, and emphasised by having the side bookshelves in a different finish to the central section. This has a very strong visual outline, with the stepped sides and top shelves, door designs, the colour, the angled corner door and the raised quadrant plinth. This bookcase offers acres of storage and display space, including the top shelf of each stepped section. Adding some Deco colours really establishes the authentic feel of new pieces of furniture. Such a piece could be used many ways, from a larger home office to bookcase, or display/storage unit, or media centre or drinks bar or restaurant.
The bookcase can have a painted / lacquered finish, or be in a wood/finish of your choice. We've shown a selection of possible finishes below, in typical Deco colours. We can do these bookcases with or without the decorative raised plinth. The corner section is usually just shelved, but could be fitted out as you prefer. This design is quite a substantial piece of furniture, standing at nearly 6 feet tall (170cm approx.). As these cabinet boookcases are made to order we can change the sizes & proportions to your requirements. We could make up a whole home office in this style if you want.
