Furniture as Art - William Morris would be proud! This stunning coffee table is made by the Cubist pattern Marquetry veneered top design. The design was taken from a Walter Dorwin Teague design used for something totally different, but it transferred wonderfully to the table top. The base was actually a simple one by Paul Frankl from 1940, comprising 2 freestanding sections. The base could be veneered in any of the top woods you prefer, or it could be lacquered. Besides, it's the top you see not the base. The Abstract top looks wonderfully classy, and being finished with several layers of lacquer it is hard wearing for every day use. There is also a similar style dining table we can supply. The coffee table can within reason be made to whatever size you want. We can also choose wood veneers that you prefer. Marquetry is a highly skilled craft, but it offers such quality to a piece of furniture. Made to order. We don't give sizes or prices until we have agreed a spec. with a customer.

We can vary the table top designs endlessly, whether they be marquetry veneered or painted, and the proportions can be changed to the size of top you want.

Shown above are a couple of coffee tables with painted tops. They also use a much simpler cleaner looking base, so that the focus is mainly on the Geometric design.
