CFA Voysey; Fire screens

Voysey was skilled at reworking a design for several different uses. This fire screen is a continuation of his approach; we re-used his 'bird' air vent design (which were used in every house he built) to make a striking fire screen. The screen creates a wonderful silhouette when a fire is lit behind it. Shown in front of a Voysey fireplace below left and in front of a typical Arts & Crafts fireplace below right. The picture below these shows 3 versions of the Bird fire screen,altering the size of pattern and proportions, just to show how we can adapt designs to you requirements.

Continuing the idea of re-using his designs are another couple of fire screens designs at the bottom. The LH design was originally used for a hinge, the RH was a larger piece to replace some stair newels, under a handrail. Black finish with fine mesh backing. The spark guard mesh can be supplied black as standard, but can potentially be supplied in either stainless steel (gives it a more contemporary look) or brass. We can adapt designs both in size & design as they are made to order. We don't discuss prices until we have agreed a spec. with a client.
