William Morris; Artisan bookcases
We adapted another bookcase we had made in the past to fit in with the Morris Artisan range
of furniture. This range is in between Gothic Reformed and Arts & Crafts style. The bookcase
designs are shown in a range of typical early Morris furniture colours to later style where
wood came more to the fore. The Artisan range was noted for it's pared down down, relying on
simple striking shapes and massing with interesting Medieval inspired colours. We've just
continued this tradition with these bookcase designs. The bookcases don't need to be 3 bays,
we've shown a single and double version of these, but they could be 4-6 bays or more wide if
preferred. And although shown as freestanding bookcases they can be built-in. They could also
have bottom cupboards with doors, and we are working on these designs at the moment. The bookcases
are made bespoke to order, so we can adapt the dimensions to your requirement, and change the
colour or finish. We don't do quotations until we've agreed a spec with a client.
