This is literally the most basic idea of a sideboard, as the Firm were trying to get closer to Medieval original work. There is no cupboard with this. It was part of the original Artisan range made for the Red House, later ending up at Kelmscott Manor. It was painted green like the rest of the range, but there is no reason why it couldn't be painted another colour or left in a wood finish. The piece is a Reformed Gothic style, with the definite influence of Pugin's 'structural' tables. It relies for it's effect on a great shape and simple chamfered detailing. As made to order we can change the proportions and finishes.
