This is a new bathroom suite based on Duncan Grant's 'Lilypond' design for tyhe Omega Workshops. It manages to do something they never did (& possibly never wanted to do either) & that was to produce a co-ordinated range of furnishings. They were artists generally producing 1 off pieces, although the Lilypond design was repeated several times on different pieces. The above bathroom shows how you can take & adapt their designs to produce new work. The result is very striking to say the least, but looks crisp & contemporary as well. The wall mirror completes the set. These are the pieces that establish the look & feel of the bathroom, not the shower, WC, towel rail, etc. The WC seat could be painted the same colour scheme as well. Made to order.
New designs inspired by Duncan Grant's 'Lilypond' design for the Omega Workshops, one of their more sucessful designs, to produce a striking new piece of artistic furniture. Like all of this work this is art furniture put to practical everyday use. We've shown several design options you could have, to give you some idea of what can be done. These range from a 2 door to 4 door vanity unit, bath panels, wall mirror, etc.. We've shown different leg / plinth options you can have. It is shown with a dark finish top, but this could be painted, stone/marble, Corian, etc. As the cabinet is made to order we can change the size and proportion to whatever you want, within reason, and change the finishes as well. The sides can be plain black painted (so the emphasis is on the front design) or the Lilypond pattern can be carried around to the sides as well. It can be fitted with 1 or 2 internal shelves, either fixed or adjustable. The interior has been shown in yellow or orange, colours picked up from the Lilypond design; but could be one of the other colours. As made to order we don't discuss sizes or price until we have agreed the specification with the client.
Above are shown a couple of new Lilypond cabinets nearing completion, minus their tops & legs (these are added after the main cabinets are finished). The Lilypond designs were carried around to the sides of the cabinets, so we produced full sized drawings for each face/door. The colours are hand painted one colour at a time.
The above 2 photos show the bathroom with a 2 door mirror wall cabinet, painted in matching Lilypond border design. This provides storage & mirrors for utility. The bath panels above left are shown in a deep red; Omega artists probably wouldn't have kept all the colours exactly the same way on every piece. In these 2 photos the vanity unit has the design on the side, as opposed to just the front above. If we've shown a lot of photos on this page it is to give you as much information & options as possible to choose from.
