2 very different bookcase designs incorporating the same original designs. Design can be a curse, when you realise the possibilities and details are endless. This striking piece of art furniture is sure to be the focal point in any interior. The bookcase whilst very practical & offering plenty of storage, is essentially a large canvas for the hand painted door designs. These bookcases were inspired by an early Omega Workshops design c.1914. The top 2 pieces adapted the designs to very large panelled doors, exagerating the striking patterns & colours. The centre of each becomes the focal point, whether for books or a flat screen TV. The bottom 2 designs take a more conventional bookcase format with base height 4 doors painted with the designs. The lower bookcases can be made in several door combinations, from 2-6 or more.

The bookcases are shown in a few colours/finishes, but these can be changed to you preference. Rather than follow the example of the original artists, in Omega & Bloomsbury, and decorate secondhand pieces of found furniture, we design & produce pieces from new with the designs planned from the start to create unified pieces. The idea is to show how as designers we can produce all sorts of variations and combinations, as these are made bespoke. The bookcases are shown freestanding but they could be built-in if preferred. They are made to order, so you can change the proportions. This would be made bespoke to order, so we don't discuss sizes or quotes until we have agreed a spec. with a customer.
