This lampshade was one of two similar designs painted by the Norwegian artist Roald Kristian, while at the Omega Workshops c.1915-16.
The interlaced dragons designs show that he had been influenced by the Viking Revival going on in Scandinavia at the time. We have shown the shade on a matching style base ( very un-omega !). The shade could be used for a lamp a ceiling shade.
