These table designs were inspired by an Omega Workshops design, by Vanessa c.1914. We were inspired by the striking almost Cubist design and rich colours to create several pieces of furniture using this design. We can supply this design as a breakfast / dining table, or coffee tables, and cupboards, bookcases, vanity units, etc.. A wonderful piece of art you can use every day.
As designers it can be hard to stop sometimes, as the ideas just keep coming. We've actually shown 2 tables which draw on the same source design to show 2 very different design options. The LH table base is a quite straight forward one and made of stained or painted wood, - we kept the table base deliberately simple like most of the Omega pieces, which were usually cheap existing furniture they just painted, as it it is just a backdrop to the table top 'canvas' design. The table top is finished with a clear lacquered/varnished finish for protection, but you could also add a sheet of glass for long term durability. The coffee table uses just a single 'panel' from the panel design.
The RH table treats the designs in a very different way, and looks more Contemporary (due to the glass top & clean lines). The 2 support blocks act as the canvas for the panel designs. See more on this one below. As these tables are bespoke made to order we can adapt the sizes. We don't discuss prices until we have agreed a spec. with a customer.

The idea for these tables was to provide a good table support that would act as panels for painted designs. The table is derived from Art Deco tables, but given a more contemporary look. the Art Deco style was developing at the same time as the Omega & early Bloomsbury style, and there were some cross influences. These bases provide excellent surfaces for Bloomsbury style designs, so we will probably add some more. These designs also lend themselves to being used as desks, for your home office? The table supports have to be strong to hold the weight of a glass or stone top, but you could have a painted or wood top. A glass top allows the base designs to be seen better. We can also add cross rails for a stronger table frame, and include drawers if you want. We would probably ask a customer to source the glass or stone worktop locally, we can supply you with the spec for ordering it, this saves a lot of cost shipping and avoids the risk of damage to the top in transit. We can change the dimensions of these to some extent. Made to order; we don't discuss sizes or prices until we've agreed a spec with a customer.
