This was one of many clocks Mackintosh designed for the School of Art, c.1910. It is one of his most recognized designs, where the square is the dominant motif. It is painted in only b/w, with the designs stencilled on. Despite it's apparent simplicity it is quite a tricky piece to do and because of the raised centre section.
We have made our version the same height as the 'White' bed valance, shown below. The white squares around the edge of the clock match the black squares around the stencilled designs on the valance. It could be made larger if preferred. Made to order.POA.
