The inspiration for these table designs is obvious to any fan of Mackintosh's work. Derngate was his last major commission and the result is still astonishing 100 years later. The living room in particular is unique, with it's black walls & woodwork and bright geo-metrical wall patterns & stained glass. It was these that inspired this range of furniture. What would Mack have made of these, seeing his work expanded in new directions? We'll never know, but once you put work out into the world others will always see new possibilities for it, as we have done.

While the designs on this page were inspired by what was done in the Derngate living room, Mack also designed an alternate wall pattern on a light coloured background, which was equally striking, and we adapted it to a table design. The brighter colouring and patterns really anticipate Art Deco, and this table would happily sit in a Jazzy Deco interior.

The table bases shape and boxiness allowed us enough flat surface area to use the Derngate designs. The glass top allows the designs to be seen while sitting at the table, but the top could be solid if preferred. The tops have an overhang at either end, so these tables can sit 6 people. Bespoke made to order - we don't discuss sizes or prices until we have agreed the specification with a customer. Please note we do not supply the chairs, they are shown to dress the table designs only, they are available from various retailers.
