A stunning new De Stijl vanity unit design that would make a real impact in any bathroom. The idea for this vanity derived from Rietveld's Elling sideboard, which shows how you can adapt such pieces for new functions. This piece makes for a very striking yet practical piece firmly in the Rietveld style. This is in keeping with Rietveld's approach, as he would adapt his own designs for bespoke commissions. The piece can include doors or leave them off for a more open look. We can supply matching pieces such as mirrors, cupboards, etc..

We chose to show the most striking version of this above, but it can be finished in any colour or combination of colours you want, from a single colour to typical Rietveld De Stijl colours, as shown below. Or we could do this in a range of wood finishes, which suit a more mid century interior look, as shown in the following photos of an actual piece made. As this is made to order we can adapt these pieces both in size, finish or create a new design. You could use several worktops materials with this piece, from granite, marble, quartz, Corian, glass (this could look very good), wood, painted, etc. This style of vanity best suits a sit on basin.

The vanity unit looks very good in any of these finishes, so you should one that would be right for your scheme. You can see the complexity of the construction in these designs, the mathematical accuracy of every rail is important, and makes for interesting assembly and finishing, which is reflected in the cost of such pieces. The top is reasonably thick, as this is helping to support the framing weight. We don't discuss sizes or pricing until we've agreed the specification with the customer.
