This bedroom shot shows some of the pieces working together as a whole. The Red / Blue chair idea was extended to produce a Red / Blue bed ! The derivation is obvious and sucessful. A lamp and bedside table complete the ensemble, to produce a striking bedroom suite. We can supply other pieces of furniture in this style to match. These designs have been registered.

The bed is 3ft wide, but could easily be supplied as a double ( see below ). Specify whether you want it as a frame only to go around a divan base, or whether you want it supplied with slats for a mattress only. . It requires self assembly.

4 Poster Bed

While a modernist 4 poster bed seems a contradiction in terms,it does make for a very striking minimalist 4 poster bed, in the style of Gerrit Rietveld. The design forms part of the range with the beds above. The bed could just be supplied as a standard double bed.

We have shown the bed in 2 colourways; grey with white head and foot boards (apologies, some of Hendrix's 'purple haze' crept into the lighting on this one !). Or painted as the 'Red Blue' chair which formed the inspriation for the black version. It could look very 'crisp' with the addition of white muslin drapes.

The bed is intended to act as a frame only for a divan base and mattress ( rather than to be supported on slats. Some straight forward home assembly is required.

We adapted the 4 poster bed above for a client who wanted a similar bed, but 'easier & softer on the eye'. The design was modified a bit as well. The whole was painted white, with a padded white headboard. This just shows how you can adapt these designs any way you want.

This is one of our own designs for a bed headboard. The style is based on Rietveld's 'Schroeder' house / 'Berlin' chair period, with spatial planes going off in different directions. Painted in his typical colours of white, grey, black and red to high light the different planes; the whole is very practical ( including a reading strip light and bedside table ) and very striking ( in the way that early modernist furniture still is ).

This could be supplied for a single or double bed. It is secured to a standard divan base. There is some home assembly required. Delivery time 3 - 4 weeks in UK. The colours can be varied to suit your preferences. Made to order. Specify RH or LH table required ( RH shown ).
