This large TV media/entertainment centre would make an impact in any room. It combines several pieces we have designed in the past into 1 unit. This is a new piece and the design is still being fined tuned before being made. This was designed for a clients living room, to go along 1 wall. The symetrical design included a central TV cabinet flanked by 2 x 2 bay bookcases. The bookcases themselves are not symetrical, as one side was required to house a record player, hence the wider bay. And each bookcase required a bay to house a large speaker. This asymetry in the 2 bookcases adds some interest to the overall look.
The design is still being fine tuned, the above is the original design, with a low TV cabinet. This was later increased to 3/4 height of the bookcases so that the TV could be placed higher in the cabinet. This version is shown below. The bookcases don't need to be 2 bays wide, they could be (a) 3 wide (balanced with the widest section in the middle (B) 4 or more bays wide, but this would involve some site assembly & installation. And although shown as freestanding bookcases they can be built-in, wall to wall and/or floor to ceiling. They could also have bottom cupboards with doors. Access for cables and power sockets is always a consideration with type of furniture. Plus physical access to the room it will go in is another big consideration, as quite often these might need to be assembled in the room rather than supplied fully assembled. The bookcases are made bespoke to order, so we can adapt the dimensions to your requirement, and change the colour or finish. We don't do quotations until we've agreed a spec with a client.

Below is shown the room where the entertainment centre is to be located, along the far wall. The first photo shows the empty room, followed by several Photoshop designs to show furniture options in-situ. The last 2 also show the option of revising the chimney breast & fireplace to be in keeping with the style of the new furniture. We can take this as far as you want. Design is a process, we don't just wave a magic wand or press a button on the CAD program & have a finished piece. Customers often don't know exactly what they want, it's size, they often want to see some options, and gradually the final CAD design gets pulled together. After the initial quick Photoshop designs were produced we started to establish the finished design as shown in the following designs. Unusually the bookcases are asumetric with 2 different width bays per bookcase. The reason for this was the customer's constraints, namely the room width (the unit had to end at the radiator case and not go into the corner); their existing large flat screen TV size, and the bookcases had to include speakers and a record turntable.

The above 2 photos show the media centre in the client's living room. While this is a lovely stand alone piece, it really needs the bookcases either side to make the full impact in a large room like this. The 2 bookcases are planned to follow soon.
