Some new tables designs based on traditional farmhouse tables. Space was always at a premium, so this style of table developed to fold down or up, to create a dining table or foldaway for more space. For the same reasons it is emminently suited to modern small appartment living. The construction is quite simple and is economical with materials. The table supports could be very plain and simple or more ornate, as these designs. The tables can be painted in whatever colour you want, or the top could be a wood finish. The table supports can be made more ornate with painted panels as shown below.
The photos below show this table - we made this for the fabric Company Monkwell's large stand at THE trade fair Decorex. The table top was made much larger and in pine finish, to place fabrics and samples on for customers. Within practical limits we can make these tables to whatever size, materials and finishes you want. We don't discuss prices until we've agreed a spec. with a customer. Made to order.

The bottom 3 photos show details of the benches, with lovely profiles. The Swedish bench has elegant chunky legs for a farm piece of furniture. Below, you can see photographs of 2 benches from central Europe, but the forms are very similar to Scandinavian pieces. You can see more info on them in the country furniture section.

The photos above give you some ideas of how we can change the look of these style of tables. Adding reeded or decorative painted panels, with marbling or painted flowers, can really lift the look of such table.
